The name's Jordyn. I also go by Jayy on the interwebs. Call me either, it matters not to me. I shall try to spare you from the long and painful-to-read bio about myself, that I am sure to end up writing anyway.
Rule #1 About Jayy
She tends to ramble on and on about nothing in particular, so that something that should take a sentence to say takes 2 paragraphs. Mostly, she just says everything she's thinking.
I was born near the quaint little town of Baltimore, Maryland... perhaps you've heard of it? Moved up to Pennsylvania when I was nearly 12. So basically, I've spent half of my life here and half of my life there. I've never been off the East Coast either. Quite sad. Some day I hope to have enough money to travel the world and go lots of different places. That's not an option for me right now though.
Rule #2 About Jayy
She is one broke ass college student with no funds and no foreseeable income in the near future. She's trying though.
As far as design goes, I have shown an interest in all things creative from an early age. If you're itching for a good, long read, feel free to look at the site's backstory to get more of an idea of my web designing history. I'm not really sure that I have a specific style that I flock to. I adore simple, clean, and minimalistic designs, but there are definitely a lot of more complex and crazy designs that blow me away, too. I think as long as it's designed well and professionally, I am drawn to it. I aim to put that in my designs as well, although I seldom am ever happy with what I come up with.
Rule #3 About Jayy
She 9 times out of 10 will hate what she creates. She's always jealous of everyone else's work and never happy with her own. She wants to know how to make it better, but she usually never has any idea how to go about doing that.
I graduated high school in 2010, then went to community college for a semester. I then proceeded to spend the next year of my life basically doing nothing, except the occasional job here and there, because I couldn't find a college that had my major. After a full years search and a suggestion from my friend, Ben, I found Penn College, which is where I've just spent my past year and a half of schooling. There was another semester at HACC in 2012, so that I could get classes out of the way for cheaper (it's also when I met one of my best friends, Stephanie). I also happen to be taking classes there over the summer, too. That way I'll get them out of the way for cheaper, and I'll graduate Fall of 2014. That's only one semester later than the traditional 4 year degree of those who graduated in 2010. I'm sure I'll be attending a lot of graduations this spring though. I can't believe my grade is almost done college already! I can't believe my baby sister just graduated high school! When did I get so old?
Rule #4 About Jayy
She thinks she's older than she is... and will constantly mention that fact. "I'm getting old."
I have a small family. Mom, Dad, Sister. I only have 4 cousins (not counting step cousins or 2nd cousins or all of that mumbo jumbo). Almost all of my family is still living - thank God I've only had to deal with one death. I'm the type of person who doesn't deal with death well; it completely wrecks me. I don't deal with change well. Mostly, I just hate losing people who were once so important to me - whether by death, by break up, by moving away, by just time changing us and our relationships. My friends mean the world to me. I love them all so much, and I don't know how I would be able to live life without going completely insane without them (even if they drive me crazy sometimes). My boyfriend has become one of my best friends, and I don't know what I'd do without him. He's the cheese to my cake, the reese's to my peanut butter cup, and the penguin to my giraffe. He means the world to me, and I just love him so much.
Rule #5 About Jayy
She's not mushy gushy. Of course she has her moments when she just wants to express her love to all of the people that are important to her. Of course she likes cute couple things and cute moments. But no. She does not like PDA or expressing those moments all over the internet or in public. Some things should be kept private. Ain't none of yo damn business.
My personality is that of a 10 year old trapped in a 21 year old's body. I get excited easily over minute and unimportant things. oo shiny. Once I am comfortable around you, it's hard to get me to shut up. However, I am extremely shy and awkward around people I don't know (welcome to the wonderful world of web designers and bloggers club). I complain a lot, but I like to think of it as endearing and not obnoxious...... It might be the easiest thing in the world to make me smile or laugh - I certainly do it all the time. I am constantly singing, most of the time without realizing that I'm doing it. I play guitar, flute, and piano. Not to sound like a self-inflated ass, but I'm pretty good at music. Harmonies, melodies, writing music, learning instruments, all of that comes to me pretty easily. I also love to read and write stories. Although, my sister is the one who just published a book.
